Hometown Traditions celebrates a landmark rich in tradition with our Sandersville School tee. Built in 1939, Sandersville School to serve as a high school in Washington County until 1959, when Washington County High School was built. The building served as the elementary school for Washington County until once again a new facility was built in 2009. The Sandersville School Building Authority was created in 2015 and is working to place the property on the National Register of Historic Places.
