Hometown Traditions celebrates the rich history of Tennille, Georgia with our Tennille, GA at the Depot tee featuring the Nancy Hanks II. For two short years, the original Nancy Hanks train ran a line connecting Savannah and the coast to Atlanta in 1892 & 1893. In the summer of 1947, the Nancy Hanks II made its first 6-hour trip. For the next 24 years the Nancy Hanks II made two trips daily. Tennille, Georgia was a proud stop along the way.
